Netpro System Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Mainframe Developer (CICS Cobol) to support our

exclusive client, GlobalMind Technologies PTY. LTD., based out in Unit 18/560 Military Road Mosman

NSW 2088, Australia.

Job location: Remote/Work from Home, Travel required upto 25%.

Job Timing: As per the Australian Eastern Standard Time Zone, 9 AM Australia EST (ideally 7 PM EST-

USA) to 6 PM Australia EST (ideally 8 AM EST-USA).

Salary: Dependent upon experience, Competitive

Availability: Candidate must be available to start on the project within two weeks of acceptance.

Mode of Employment: Full Time, Permanent (W2, No 1099).

Mode Of Interview: Telephonic Rounds (2), followed by Skype/F2F.

Visa/Work Permit: EAD/GC/CITIZEN/H1B-Visa No Bar for ideal candidate. Company is willing to

file/transfer H1B for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be working for the Client for a web-based CRM application project intended for

Australian market. Client interaction will be regular and sustained, encompassing both formal

presentations and informal, routine communication

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a strong mainframe developer that has expert knowledge in CICS and also good Cobol,

DB2, and excellent MQ experience. We don’t want someone who has done mostly JCL and batch

processing. The Mainframe Developer reports to the Offshore SharePoint Architect based out in Australia

at our Client Site.

The Mainframe Developer will support the delivery of award winning tools and services that cover

everything from personal and small business banking as well as lending, mortgages, credit cards,

payments, auto finance and investment advice.

The Mainframe Developer reports to the Offshore Project manager based out in Australia at our Client

Site. The mainframe Developer will have a challenging dual role as developer and administrator, working

with cross functional teams, building out our platform design and develop advanced / customized team

sites, libraries, lists, views and workflows based on requirements gathered from key stakeholders.

The position designs, develops, and supports activities to build and promote customer solutions and

automation requirements in the mainframe (CICS COBOL) environment.

Mainframe development work is triaged through the analyst group and as a mainframe programmer

analyst, along with the Lead, the programmer analyst shall review the business/technical requirements

and provide technical guidance as well as architectural suggestions, the programmer analyst shall

support the current ongoing development work of the long term, high complexity PMS replacement

project. Work closely with the technical Lead and FISA analytic, testing, and operations staff to create

accurate and efficient processes.

The team, which includes some other developers and database admins will be focused on developing and

delivering cutting edged mobile applications, digital experiences and next generation banking technology

solutions to better serve our clients and customers.

They dedicatedly will work towards improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and

application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Work in a techno-functional capacity with a strong understanding of business processes,

mainframe programming, and relational databases to design, program and assist in determining

impact of change to programs and systems.

 Analyze complex legacy code JCLs and document business logic, develop data flow diagrams, job

dependency diagrams from legacy systems job scheduler.

 Translate legacy code and job flows into applications requirements to assist development of web-

based solutions

 Assist in developing technical test specifications, test scenarios and assist test team in validating

the test results

 Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to

design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.

 Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code.

 Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.

 Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of

programs.

 Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.

 Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects,

allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff.

 Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees

creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

 Assist in identifying inter related business components and perform impact analysis.

 Assist in testing by preparing test data, mock test files, and running test jobs in legacy systems.

The ideal candidate should have the following

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 At least five (5) years of experience as IBM Mainframe Application developer with

experience in developing COBOLDB2CICS programs on IBM mainframes.

 Extensive Knowledge in requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, implementation,

testing, integration, deployment, documentation and maintenance of IBM Mainframe applications

 Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, DB2, and Stored Procedures experiences

 Extensive years of experience on RMDS/EXPEDITER/File-Aid for IMS/DB2

 Candidate should be able to analyze complex legacy code JCLs and document business logic,

develop data flow diagrams, job dependency diagrams from legacy systems job scheduler.

 Candidate should be to translate legacy code and job flows into applications requirements to assist

development of web-based solutions.

 Candidate should be able to assist in identifying inter related business components and perform

impact analysis.

 Candidate should be able to assist in developing technical test specifications, test scenarios and

assist test team in validating the test results

 Able to perform analysis, research, design, coding, testing, and implementation (full development

cycle).

 Candidate should be able to assist in testing by preparing test data, mock test files, and running

test jobs in legacy systems.

 Experience working on MQ would be a plus

 Experience working in the financial industry is a plus

 Capable with MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 Systems Development Methodology knowledge/experience

 Should possess experience working in a team oriented group

 Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written), interpersonal, and organizational skills

 Production support experience (24×7), must be available to do shift work

Preferred Requirement:

 Experience with support tools: TSO, JCL, ISPF, FTP, SPUFI, Sort Utilities, and IBM Tools: Fault

Analyzer, File Manager, File Export, Debug Tools

 Experience with Source Version Control software Change Man
